Environment and music

Everyone enjoyes music. Music is used to spread messages around. Environment aware song writers and composers know this. Since the 1970th they have composed songs related to environment issues to call people's attention to a multitude of situations such has whale hunting, the destruction of the rain forests, oil spills and nuclear energy among others. Their songs are specially targeted to teenagers and young adults. However their messages reach a much broader audience. Leave a link to a music and explain which environment issue is the song about. The human footprint is the measure of the impact of people on the environment. The footprint of people living in developed countries is much bigger than of the people who live in developing countries where shopping and consummerism are current. Twister (1996) is a disaster film about tornadoes in America. Tornadoes are natural phenomena and highly destructive. This is a very interesting film because it shows the power of nature and presents a vivid picture of the people who live in areas where tornadoes are common. It also shows what people must do to protect themselves from tornados.
Tornados are increasing in number and becoming more and more destructive.
